I like how you think Steven, there is certainly something for dropping in a set of 4:11's, they go great with upsized tires and give you some of your lost gas mileage.

All this talk of gears and Lockers have me dreaming and drooling over what I want on my wish list of stuff!

You might want to think about getting a CDL first. You won't get the full benefit of lockers if you are open in the center.

    Freeze.....

my understanding is that no CDL for '02, you can add it to '01 and already equipped in '04...or is that $700 kit is for '02 as mine?

O2's can't be switched back to CDL because the t/case adon't have all the necessary parts.
I do know some parts out a Disco with the correct t/case if you are interested.

    Choqiees,

In a nut shell, your DII with ETC and open diffs and without CDL is designed to purposely rob torque (engine power) by applying differential braking to limit wheel spin while helping to maintain traction. Without CDL, your best bet is to go with Rear Detroit/GRB HD axles and Front True Trac.

Remember the key here is to minimize power loss while increasing traction.

I'm no expert, but if I were in your shoes, I would first work on finding a CDLable LT230.
