It was quite some time ago... let's just say if they can't take what they sling then they shouldn't play with 'X'.

I am already working it Sterling.

Steven, joining the band over on Pirate seems easier than D-web, not that I have been banned on either.

Disco web is what it is, seems some want it all to themselves.

The Hammers are in danger! Even if you have never or have no plan to ever wheel there please help. Johnson Valley is the home to some of the most challenging trails along with some super fun desert track.

Most importantly is you ever want to see another King of the Hammers then YOU must fight.

Read over the forum linked above, there is a pre formed response to download, personalize, and then post on 3.12.2008 between 2 and 6 PM.

We keep losing trails and it keeps getting easier for the gov. to pass legislation further limiting our access. We as offroaders must break the cycle.
    Ryan or RV

I sold it all.. Now i'm bummed. Hahahaha..

The problem here is that the US Military can basicly take any state or federal land they feel like as long as they "replace" it with some different land, thank you P.A.T.R.I.O.T. Act!. What will happen here is that they will take over the Hammers, or rather Johnson Valley OHV and give us some POS desert land up near Rosamond to wheel on, not even close to a fair trade. If you look at the map of where they want to take over their initial land grab will leave the Hammers trails mostly intact and cut Aftershock in half, however they have labled another "area of interest" that covers ALL of the Hammers trails, it's not a large area geographicaly and aside from a few access roads totaly inaccessable to a Hummer or tank so the only reason I can think of to take it over is to keep offroaders away from the base, shut down the trails and the offroaders will stop comming and the Marines can shoot stuff in peace and quite.

For as long as I've been going to Johnson Valley there have been fire restrictions durring the dry months and BLM folks out patrolling making sure we don't go off trail and run over a turtle, now the Marines want to take it over and undo all the good work responsible offroaders such as myself have put in to keep the trails clean and open. Virtually no Military base has ever been re-opened for public use because they trash the place, live ordinance, fuel spills, lead, uranium, rubber, brass, you name it, they leave it all over the base, if we lose the Hammers now we will never get it back, and if you've never been to the Hammers you owe it to yourself to contact your Congresman and fight this land closure, there's stuff out there you can't even imagine, and if you have been to the Hammers I don't need to say anything, you know why it's such a special place.

If you can't fix it with a hammer, then you have an electrical problem.

I have been banned twice from Dweb but Ho always forgives me.

I will join Pirate tonight under "stevenmd". I will create another yahoo email address if my current one is banned.
