    Keep our trails open

    Just wanted you guys to know some of the stuff going on in the nor cal area as far as forest service roads.

    The following links are from other boards but give you the gist of the important information. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE TRY TO ATTEND THESE MEETINGS. Some of the meetings have already occured but there is one coming up in Walnut Creek area.

    This is just the beggining of the information out there. Pirate4x4 has a huge Land Issues section for norcal. PLEASE DO WHAT YOU CAN TO HELP.

    I'll go to the one in Pleasant Hill tomorrow. I'll probably be ther at arounf 8 PM 'cause of work, but we NEED to be there!

    You are right we need to be there. Educate yourselfs, a lot of the questions at the one if Folsom didn't pertain to the meetings purpose. The meeting is there to help inform people how to respond in letters from what I understand. They want specific information on which trails should remain open and why.

    I posted this elsewhere, but just in case...

    This was created subing the Forest Service map of thier "options". The "A" is considered by them to be not an option. "D" is what they plan on implementing. Give it a minute to load, should be woth your while to see how bad it is.

    No problem. As I mentioned elsewhere, this is a issue with the gold miners/prospectors in the region. They use the trails to get to thier Federal mining claims.

    As a side note, this is also occuring to the same degree in Plumas NF, and may even be happening to others, so it is not an isolated event. If you know the FS, they will do this across the country. California seems to have a habit of starting bad (and some good) trends. Way to many socialists running the state (or is that ruining?).
