    Possible heating blend door issue?

    Hi everyone,

My wife's 07 LR3 is having a strange issue. Even when cranked all the way to max heat, the driver's side vents only gets luke warm.

The passenger side gets much much hotter when cranked, while two things happen on the driver's side if the heat is cranked there:

    1) the left dash vent (window side) only gets luke warm
    2) the right side dash vent stays cool.

It's the same results with heat directed to the floor and dash, but if defroster position only is chosen, the passenger side will be hot while the driver's side is cool or cold. ( which matches up with the right side dash vent being cool.)

I though it might be something with a blend door, but it seems strange that the left vent by the driver's window gets luke warm, while the right dash vent by the driver stays cool. Could it be a sensor from the temperature control dial, or something else?

    Thoughts/ideas?

    Thanks!

Check the heat setting on the other (passenger's) dial. Unless they are both hot or both cold, the HVAC will do some blending however it wants to....

Even when both are maxed, pass side is hot but drivers side is cool to warm-ish at best.
