Opinions on an 84' 110 possible purchase?

I know the lords of the LR oracle out there are a LOT more versed in 110s than I am, thus excuse the dumbness of some of the questions.......

    84' 110
    5 spd
    200 TD engine
    174K chassis miles
Supposedly engine rebuilt in 2012 with $4K receipt
    New brakes
    Recent clutch
    Some goofy plating
    Old original paint
    missing front door panels
    Minor rust on doors
Basically a well used example that runs well

The ONE thing that concerns me......has "some" rust on the crossmember area in the right rear, my understanding is that is a common problem area...?
Seller states it's only a 2" spot and he is going to have it repaired.

    Thoughts? REAL value ?

Verify engine, that vintage probably had a 2.5 NA in it originally. Check if it got a 200Tdi transplant.
I'd be more concerned about the bulkhead rust, if any.

Yes it has the 200 Tdi swap. But NOW he's backpedaling for some reason. I was going to fly down to San Diego, and now I think he's had a change of heart....
