P38 steering wheel fit a RRC?

Anyone tried to fit a wooden P38 steering wheel in a classic? Can it be done?

Try it at the wrecker and report back. I'm curious.

Got one for a price I couldn't turn down to test it out, my guess it that it could be made to fit the steering shaft easily...but hooking up airbag may be an issue. So I'll play with it and report back.

Who needs the airbag? My face rather not.

its a 95 SWB, wheel gets here tomorrow so I'll check it out. Is it safe to assume that a D1 steering wheel is directly interchangeable?

You are lucky! I am pretty sure it will fit and seeing as your car had an air bag wheel it won't look odd.

    Update:
Took forever and limited options, was not easy as it could be. But did it and wheel feels pretty awesome. The wheel diameter is a little larger which I actually like because reminds me of my old D90. I documented the entire process and if anyone's interested

    Cheers

So far...Black center console with dark wood, P38 wood steering wheel, Black piping on lightstone leather.

I'm interested. Let's see the documented process.
Would it be the same for a D1?
