    Best tires for stock LR3

What's the best tire you recommend for a stock 07 LR3 without getting a lift? Going to do mild offroading and really want to shake the soccer mom look of the stock tires.

If I do a lift, recommendations on best system to go with? Thanks in advance for any advice!

I have had two sets outside the stock tires. Nitto terra grapplers and goodyear duratrac's. both have served me well but if you are looking for a quieter ride and a bit less aggressive I would recommend the nitto's.

Oh I have used both sets with and without a lift.

Well in my research all the "interesting" tires are either too tall or too wide for stock settings. As near as I can figure the 265/65-18 is as big as one can go without Johnson rods installed and or wheel spacers.

Toyo Tires Open Country A/T 112S
    WildPeak A/T.
    Cooper Disco A/T3
Toyo Tires Open Country A/T II

None of which are really meaty enough for my liking.
I know I could go larger something like the 275/60-18 or 275/65-18 such as the and run the J-Rods full time but I'm a little reluctant to do that due to CV joint ware.

    Dynapro MT
    Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac
    Cooper Discoverer Radial STT
Everything else for 18" are much larger 34" and north of there.

I do see that Mickey Thompson makes a 265/60-18 in the Baja STZ....

I run 275 65 18 duratracs on my lr3 fulltime for last 30k miles with no lift. I had to move the left front ride height sensor to above the frame and relocate the heater hose in the right rear. Took a a couple hours but totally worth have great tires at normal ride height.
