    Rear view mirror wiring?

I am trying to replace my '98 disc mirror that had auto dimming & map lights with a mirror from junk yard Rover that has auto dimming & compass. Any ideas on how to tell which of the 3 wires on new mirror is hot/neut/grnd? The wire colors are different & of course, no connector. The wire colors on new mirror are black, wht/grn, & grn/brwn, if that is any help. Thanks

I figured it out--- Some other post mentioned that there is 1 hot wire & the other 2 are neutral & ground. Used my multitest to figure out the common & ground would have zero resistance. Installed & it works!

Neutral and ground being the same thing... I think you missed the sources. One wire is ground, another is hot always and the third is switched power. That's to say, you can always turn the map lights on but the auto dim only runs when the ignition is on. You don't want to tie the ground to either of those hots or you'll blow a fuse.
