    Machining Services, Heads

Does anyone have a source I can use to get my D1 Heads machined? I've got them off and completely disassembled and just need them cared for. Bay area would be preferred.

Bill.............I know that you said "Bay Area", but would Elk Grove work?
    Cheers,

That would indeed work (likely better for me).

I'm sure there is a machine shop near you. But I know one in Santa Rosa if you still need it done. I also like my local machine shop here in Fremont. But both of these guys are good and really far from you.

I did end up getting the heads from a guy in Santa Rosa (must be the same guy) at a great price. The heads looked great and so far are performing well. Too bad I did all this work on the truck I'm selling because it now has a better engine than the one I'm keeping!

Bill.....Jeremy is nearby, & I'm sure you still have the tractor. Do a side by side motor swap. The your keeper has the better motor. Of course, minding your head.

ToyDisco1, could I get the name of the machine shop in Fremont. Shops with good recommendations have gotten a bit lean across the bay. THANKS!!

That shop is called The Parts House. Call the machine shop and ask for either Harry or Jason. They are the only two in the shop that do the work. They don't do to much on chit chat. But great guys. Kind of like two old farts with to much work.
