    Range Rover CV grease/oil

I am installing a set of HD Longfield front axles in my '92 RR. The RAVE manual says to lube the CV joint with the recommended oil. I have heard of using oneshot grease instead of gear oil. So I want to make sure I understand this. If I use oil, then I do not put grease in the CV... or if I use grease, I do not put oil in the swivel ball housing. Is that correct? Thanks for the advice.

Grease the CV and use One Shot. Gear oil is too thin and had a history of seeping past the swivel ball seal. In a pinch, we mix gear oil and CV grease to a consistency of One Shot.

Thanks for the advice. I talked to Keith at Rovertracks and he basically said the same thing.
