LR3/4 Expedition rack as a bike rack

After a little googling I did not see a bike rack adapter for the LR3 expedition rack, so I made my own.

I bought some Thule lower rider (821) block bike carriers and mounted them via the stock tie down brackets. I removed the eye part of the brackets and bought 8mm (threads) bolts to screw on to them. I just used the eye brackets for the rubber straps I have for my Yakima rack.

Do you guys think this will hold? I might switch to velcro straps for the rear wheel.

I think the rubber would stretch around the eyelets. Plus, the rubber might become brittle after some sun exposure. Otherwise, cool mod!
