    Baja 1000 2009

Well, 3 Range Rover Classics will be off in the next few hours for five days of adventure in Baja Mexico. We,
    John Gadd 95 LWB
    Pete Eastman 93 SWB
Elias Christeas 92 LSE with Marty The Drillbit as co pilot
will be mostly camping. Entering through Tecate and first stop at the Gaudalupe Hot Springs. Next a night at the famous Mike's Sky ranch. Followed by our viewing location near Rancho Coyote where we plan on watching the race shoot by not once but twice. Then to somewhere on the Pacific coast for our last night. We will be sure to document and report when we return.

How long in advance did you book at Mike's? I had an awesome time there for the race in 2007. Didn't buy myself a single Pacifico the entire time there as the racers were partying it up big time.

i was glad to be a part of this - you couldnt ask for a better tour guide than john and pete since they've been doing this the last several years. i used to cringe at the thought of baja and its now becoming one of my favorite places to go - 'ill resize some pix and repost!
