    rent Fan Tool??

I need to replace the fan in my disco II. Considering the economy and I doubt I will use it more than this time, I was wondering if anyone in the SF bay area has a fan wrench I could borrow or rent?

    Thanks in advance

Hey Chris, I'm surprised you didn't get a reply before now. I just pulled the fan off my 2000 Discovery Parts Car and didn't use the tools (LRT-12-093 and LRT-12-094). Here's a picture. It came off rather quickly as I have to say I was prepared for a long battle. I hope this helps you or anyone else in the future.

Thanks for the picture. I had wondered what people were using to remove the fan.

If you'd like, I can cut another band for you. It's a simple banding strap. The secret was in getting the vise grips tight so it wouldn't lose one end while under torque. It only took me two tries. Cheers
